Thunkable. The first steps in creating apps

Home / Modules / Thunkable. The first steps in creating apps

With Thunkable, beginners can start to design beautiful apps, to program powerful functionality with drag & drop blocks and upload apps to the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store. All apps built on Thunkable work for both Android and iOS devices.

The module program allows children to:

  • explore Thunkable X development environment, the service interface, its features and properties;
  • learn the basics of visual programming;
  • understand the logic of programming, learn how to build logical chains and develop algorithmic thinking;
  • learn or repeat the concepts of objects, events, branches, loops, variables, nested functions;
  • create a simple block program, learn how to configure the interface and application properties, add icons;
  • create their own mobile app projects with navigation between screens;
  • learn how to test ready-made projects during their creation, rename, copy, delete, view, send them to friends and publish them on Google Play or Apple Store;
  • develop a mobile app design by adding various user interface components to the screen (buttons, text, maps, cameras, translators, receivers, sensors, etc.);

Under the guidance of tutors, KIBERone students will go through the entire cycle of creating applications in this cloud-based visual programming environment – from working out the idea, designing the code structure and interface to their direct interaction, testing and launching an application up to 50 Mb in size.

The acquired knowledge and practical skills will help your child to determine the future direction of their development in primary school and in the future become a highly-paid specialist in the IT industry — A Mobile Applications Developer.
