Webmaster (HTML + CSS)

Module that covers all aspects of professional website creation: prototyping, working with image editors, editing templates, setting up hosting and server.

The Webmaster (HTML + CSS) course consists of four blocks:

1.Website design, development of its prototype, business model
2.Style. Creation of a website design
3.The layout of the project (HTML and CSS)
4.Working with databases and site management systems.

Module duration - 2,5 months

"Webmaster (HTML + CSS)" module in the CyberSchool teaches children the basics of layout, design and site management, as well as the specialty of a web developer from the inside. The training program covers all stages of professional website creation, but it is specially adapted for children's perception: the classes will have a minimum of theory (20%) and a maximum of practice (80%). Layout and web design lessons for children are easy, fun and interesting.

After completing the module, children have knowledge of making up HTML pages and are able to create basic websites that work on computers and mobile devices on their own.

The First International CyberSchool helps children to learn how to create websites from scratch. In 2.5 months, children will master digital literacy, expand their horizons, begin to solve complex tasks faster, experiment and show creative abilities. Our goal is to teach children HTML and CSS programming, so that they can create page frames and site structure without help and suggestions, insert tables and images, add interactive and multimedia elements to them, place them in the right places, change colors, fonts and backgrounds. We want to give children a wide range of knowledge, including the basics of web design for beginners.

Tutors of the module with a great practical experience will explain and show the process of creating websites from A to Z:

How to install and configure the programs that should be used for work;
What does a website consist of? How does it work?;
Introduction to cascading style sheets (CSS) and hypertext markup language (HTML) for children;
For what CSS properties are needed (including margin, position, padding, color, and others) and how to use them;
Basic web layout and design tools for children;
How the main page and main points should look when creating the top, right and bottom parts of the site and menu;
What content to fill, how to add interactivity and embed videos;
How to make the site extremely clear and easy to navigate;
Where to buy a domain name and how to choose a hosting provider;
How to publish child’s resource on the Internet;
Tips for site maintenance and support;
How to use tags, attributes, and elements, and when to use them;
How to make edits to the code and how to link html pages together.
